1. Cement Mill Test Platform
Cement mill (roller mill, 500 to 1,000 kg/h) test system has been set up to observe roller mill performance. The system imitates the grinding process of roller mill and calculates mill TMF and TWF based on the output of the tested mill and the wear of roller sleeve. It can measures the TMF and TWF of mills grinding different types of materials such as clinker, slag, steel slag and flyash. The following tests are conducted at present and staged achievements are made:
(1) Steel slag:output at 150-300 kg/h
Steel slag power Blaine adjustable between 4,000 to 6,000 cm2/g
Tested roller mill power consumption at 40-60 kwh/t
(2) Slag: output at 260kg/h
Slag powder Blaine around 4,300 cm2/g
Tested mill power consumption around 36 kwh/t
(3) Flyash: output at 240kg/h
Blaine around 6,000 cm2/g
Tested mill power consumption around 27 kwh/t
2. Waste Crusher Test Platform
Waste (tire, wood, plastic, iron barrel) crusher (10-12t/h) test platform is set up to learn waste crushing performance.
3. Sludge Dryer Test Platform
Sludge (moisture of 80%) dryer (15 t/d) test platform has been set up. Hot gas generator imitating preheater exhaust gas is used as heat source. The experiment bench is equipped with hot gas generator, booster fan, dryer, bag filter, deodorization device, feeding device, etc. Actual working condition is imitated by adjusting material feeding amount and hot gas temperature. The two most important factors that the system controls are power consumption and heat utilization. This new-type dryer aims to reduce pressure loss, power consumption and installation power. This test platform deals with the following issues:
* Basic requirements on power load and power disposition of dryer
* Dryer fluidization properties and material crushing capacity test
* Dryer gradation analysis and optimization
* Exploration of dryer working mechanism
* Test on the process configuration of dryer
* Test and research on feeding device of dryer
4. Clinker Scale Test Platform
No clinker weighing equipment is yet applied in real sense in China. This center however has designed the first clinker scale. The main part of the scale is made by weighing equipment manufacturer. To test the performance of every part of the scale and the reliability of electrical and control system, the test platform was built. It can test clinker weighing equipment for 2,000 – 2,500 t/d cement production lines. The working conditions are imitated to test all parts of the clinker scales.
5. Flyash Roller Mill Test Platform
This platform was built in November 2011. Control device and software, grindability determiner and automatic Blaine determiner are equipped for the platform. This platform can test the whole grinding process of the flyash roller mill. It can accurately measure the abrasiveness of ground materials and the powder Blaine.
6. The Fourth-generation Cooler Prototype Test Platform
Built in 2010, this platform was upgraded afterwards. For example, high-speed cameras were set and CFD software was installed in the computer workstation. To upgrade the automatic driving system for this platform, the center also imported automatic control software for cooler and corresponding automatic control devices. And computers now are used for tests, parameter simulation, working condition change, etc.
7. Thermal Simulation Test Platform
The platform was developed by the center on its own and designed by referring to the dry-process for cement production. It is used to study new types of clinker, develop new equipment, research technologies for hazardous gas emission, etc. It is the only thermal simulation test platform in China. Relying on this platform, Tianjin R & D Center is now making researches on low-lime cement, modification of cyclones and pre-calciners, optimization of preheater air locks. Achievements have been made to this end.
